Sprue Removal

sprue removalBench mounted abrasive disc cutters are used to remove sprues from castings (sprue = waste metal joining a casting to the tree).

Castings are held in fixtures to aid safety, speed and accuracy. The rotating abrasive disc then rises, cutting off the sprue.
