Heat Treatment

 heat treatment Castings are typically harder and stronger in their thinner, more rapidly cooled sections. It is therefore sometimes necessary to heat treat castings in order to develop greater strength and produce a homogeneous (uniform) structure throughout. This helps to improve machinability and ductility.
